aPRIVATEvsn: On Mistakes.

Mistakes. Every picture that you take won’t win awards. But knowing what you did wrong helps you do what’s right more often. Here are some examples.

Minolta X-570. Kodak Ultramax 400.

“Lady on Irving”

Honestly, I missed this shot. The older lady was in a perfect position to be captured by I held back for too long and I missed the moment. The resulting picture still has great feel to it. The film was producing great images though. The exposure is correct as well. The photo simply begs for more.

“I Don’t Know Who You Are”

She doesn’t take pictures like this. I randomly asked her to take some pictures and some people embrace the random photoshoot and some don’t. I had never seen her nor talked to her before and she reluctantly agreed. Maybe she thought I had an ulterior motive. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe I’ll ask her next time I see her she reacts differently. Glad I took these though.
